Agenda Subject: Date:
Permission to Surplus Stream Gauge March 17, 2004
Department: Attachments: Budget Impact:
Public Works Resolution No. 3705 $ 0
Administrative Recommendation:
City Council adopt Resolution No. 3765.
Background Summary:
A stream gauge was installed on the north side of the Green River under the Central Avenue bridge
within the City of Kent (and within Kent right-of-way) as part of the hydrogeologic study conducted for the
Auburn Water Utility by Pacific Groundwater Group. The hydrogeologic study has been completed so the
gauging station is no longer required. Rather than pay to have the gauging station removed, the Water
Utility would like to transfer the station to the City of Kent for their use. The City of Kent has stated that
they would like the gauging station for use in the future.
Resolution No. 3765 declares the stream gauging station as surplus and authorizes its disposal to the
City of Kent.
