MINUTES
I. CALL TO ORDER
The Committee conducted a special meeting consisting of a field trip to the Lea Hill
Annexation Area. Chair Lynn Norman convened the special meeting at 7:30 a.m. at
Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main Street, Auburn, WA. Committee members present were:
Chair Lynn Norman and Rich Wagner. Vice Chair Nancy Backus was excused.
Staff members present included: Planning, Building & Community Director Cindy Baker,
Public Works Director Dennis Dowdy, Right-of-Way Manager/Transportation Planner
Joe Welsh and Planning, Building & Community Assistant Director Kevin Snyder.
II. DISCUSION
A. Lea Hill Annexation Area Field Trip
Committee members and staff conducted a van field trip of the Lea Hill Annexation
area that included stops at several different locations. Committee members and staff
discussed and reviewed the following:
• Current traffic capacity and design constraints of existing streets;
• Current design capacity and constraints of existing street intersections;
• Potential improvement options for existing street intersections;
• Potential new or expanded street opportunities; and,
• Land use design considerations for mixed use development in the area
III. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Planning and Community
Development Committee, the field trip special meeting ended at 9:00 a.m.
