CITY OF AUBURN
CONTRACT FOR PERFORMANCE
This Contract between the City of Aubum ("City") and Juanita Anni on behalf
of the Marshellese Stick Dancers ("Artist') is entered into this ~t{04' day of
, 2001
Artist shall pcrform at the foltowing venue(s)/localion(s): On the Multicultural Stage at
Auburn's Fourth of July Festival in Les Gove Park, 910 Ninth St SE on the
following date(s) and time(s): Saturday, Jnly 4, 2009, between 1:35pm and i;55pm,
and 3:40pm and 4pm. The City may designate speciGc performance siies within the
ven ue,
Artist shall conduct the following performarâ–ºce; Traditianal Marshailese Stick Dance.
Artist agrees to the following terms and conditions:
1. Artist shall not block pedestrian or vehicle traffic or any business entrance;
2. Artist acknowlcdges that she or he is performing for a famif y-oriented audience and
will refrain from the use of Iewd or ofrensive conduct or language;
3. Artist is responsible to obtain alI legal permissions and clearances related to the
perfortnance.
4. Ariist shall nol be compensated by the City for the performancc. Artist is allowed to
passively solicit donations, by placement of an instrument case or box, with a sign asking
for donations. Artist may not actively solicit for donations, or sell merchandise;
5. Artist shall not consume or be under the influence of aleohol or drugs;
(i. Artist sha111eave the performing area clean of any trash or debris at the cnd of the
performance;
7. Artist shall obtain all other required licenses and pernuts;
This Contract is non-transferablc, and is subject to suspension or revocation by the City
at any tune.
Artist releases, waives, and holds the City of Auburn and their officers, employees, and
agents harmless from all claims for any loss, damage, injury or expcnse, including loss of
income or theft that Artist may suffer as a result of my use of the pcrmit area.l'his waivcr
includes any claim for failure to provide any warnings, directions, instructions or
guida.nce for the use of the permit azea. Artist agrecs to hold the City and its officer,
employccs, and agents harmless from any third-party claims related to my use ofthe
pernut area. This release is bindi.ng on the Artists heirs, ncxt-of-kin, or anyone acting on
Arti or the Artist's estate.
