We had the best June for golf in seven years. Unfortunately, the very wet, snowy and flood impacted winter/spring put us in a “catch-up” mode as it related to both revenues and maintenance. The golfers are now very pleased and complimentary. Aside from one rainy weekend, we had great weather in late May and all of June. th The Course’s 16 hole was recognized as one of the “Dream 18” holes for the state of Washington. Comments said that the picturesque layout with the waterfall backdrop makes #16 one of the most memorable holes in the state. We will be mentioned in a number of golf publications and the Auburn Reporter is doing a front page rd story this Friday, July 3. The electronics for the pump house have been replaced. The old pump electronics life expectation was out lived by three years. The motors and pumps are still a 1995 vintage, but should last another five years. At today’s prices, replacement costs for six motors and pumps would exceed $30,000. thth hole waterfall was repaired for the season. Fungicide- The greens have been spray for warm season diseases. One or two more application will be required. Revenues are back to 95% of projected after a very slow start to the year. The tournament season is starting to heat up. July, August, and September are booked pretty solid with club tournaments and outside events. If the weather cooperates, we should have a great summer!
