MINUTES
1. CALL TO ORDER 4:00 PM, CONFERENCE ROOM NO. 3
Chairman Gene Cerino called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. in Conference
Room 3, located on the second floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 W. Main Street,
Auburn, Washington. Members present: Chairman Gene Cerino, Vice Chair Bill
Peloza, Member Virginia Haugen. Staff present: Mayor Peter Lewis; Deputy
Chief of Police Bob Lee, Assistant Chief of Police Larry Miller, IS Director Lorrie
Rempher, Public Works Director Dennis Dowdy, Assistant Planning Director
Kevin Snyder, Public Works Project Manager Ryan Vondrak, Police
Secretary/Scribe Kathy Emmert. Others present: Wayne Osborne, citizen and
John Partridge, citizen.
II. AGENDA MODIFICATIONS
There were no agenda modifications.
III. CONSENT ITEMS
A. Approval of Minutes of the July 27, 2009 Municipal Services
Committee Meeting
Vice Chair Peloza moved to approve the Minutes of the July 27, 2009
meeting. Member Haugen seconded. Chair Cerino concurred.
MOTION CARRIED: 3-0 IV. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS (Action Items)
A. Contract Award Project Number CP0910 - Justice Center Parking Lot
Modifications* (Dowdy)
Project Manager Ryan Vondrak presented additional documentation
related to the bid opening. Vice Chair Peloza moved that Contract Award
Project Number CP0910 move forward to the full Council for approval.
Chair Cerino concurred.

V. INFORMATION / DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Ordinance No. 6254 - Public Safety Radio Booster Ordinance*
(Kelly/Rempher/Snyder)
An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington,
amending Section 15.07.100 of the Auburn City Code relating to
Certificates of Occupancy, and creating a new Chapter 15.45 of the
Auburn City Code relating to Public Safety Radio System Coverage
Committee members had several questions and requested additional
information prior to moving forward with this Ordinance.
B. Matrix
7P - Update moved to August 24, 2009 meeting
20P - Mayor Lewis provided an update related to King County's proposed
action and budget - On-going language added to Est. Completion Date
column
11- Deputy Chief Lee provided updated statistics on the License Plate
Reader. To date 252,000 reads, 16 stolen vehicles recovered and 4
arrests of occupied, moving stolen vehicles
21- Update moved to August 24, 2009 meeting
61- New item added "Juvenile Offenders Release" with Chief Kelly named
as lead and October 26, 2009 scheduled for an update
VI. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 4:40 p.m. '
