A. Ordinance No. 6253 - Amendments to Chapter 18.04 - Definitions and Chapter 18.26 -
C-1 Light Commercial District (Snyder - 10 minutes)
Summary: Establishment of a new definition for Mixed Use Development and amendments to
Sections 18.26.020 (Permitted Uses) and 18.26.030 (Uses Requiring Permit) of the Auburn
City Code.
B. Resolution No. 4509 - Cooperation with City of Tacoma through Williams Factory
Incubator (Snyder -15 minutes)
Summary: Resolution expressing City's interest and intent to cooperate with the City of
Tacoma to seek funding sources and prepare grant applications that include the concept of
an incubator located in the Auburn E3 Innovator District, to be managed by Tacoma's William
Factory Incubator under contract with the City of Auburn. _
V. DISCUSSION
A. Results of Citizen Survey (Hinman - 20 minutes) *
Summary: H. Stuart Elway will present the results of the 2009 citizen survey conducted in
May and completed in June. Explanations will include trends and data changes from
previous years' surveys.
B. Ordinance No. 6254 - Public Safety Radio Booster Ordinance (Lee/RempherLSnyder - 20
minutes)
Summary: Discussion of ordinance creating new Chapter 15.45 (Public Safety Radio System
Coverage) in Title 15 (Buildings and Construction) of the Auburn City Code for
implementation of a public radio booster system for police and fire emergency services
communications in buildings.
C. Code Revisions to Chapters 13.32 (Underground Wiring) and 13.36 (CATV Systems) of
the Auburn City Code (Gaub -15 minutes) *
Summary: Discussion of proposed code revisions related to the undergrounding of aerial
utilities.
D. Multi-Family Property Tax Abatement (Chamberlain - 15 minutes)
Summary: Review draft ordinance reflecting changes made by the state legislature in length
of time for property tax exemption.
