OtherPublic Works Human Resources Information Services Action: Committee Approval: Yes No Council Approval: Yes NoCall for Public Hearing___/___/____ Referred to _________________________________ Until ____/___/____ Tabled ______________________________________ Until___/___/____ Councilmember:Staff: Cerino Kelly Meeting Date: September 20, 2009 Item Number: RESOLUTION NO. 4523 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON DECLARING CERTAIN ITEMS OF PROPERTY AS SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING THEIR DISPOSAL WHEREAS, the police department is in possession of a vehicle that has been forfeited to the City pursuant to the drug forfeiture statutes; and WHEREAS, a person with a putative lien on the surplus property has offered to purchase the vehicle for what the City has determined to be fair market value; and WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City surplus the property and dispose of it by auction or other sale mechanism, as deemed most expedient by the Mayor. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON HEREBY RESOLVES as follows: Section 1. That the property identified below is declared to be surplus, and the Mayor is authorized to dispose of and convey such property through appropriate sale. 1. One Black Ford Expedition, Washington License Number 596SET, VIN 1FMFU18LOVLCO4138. Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. Section 3.
