Administrative Recommendation:
City Council grant permission to enter into Amendment No. 1 for Consultant Agreement No. AG-C-361
with Brown and Caldwell, for Engineering Services related to the On-call Annual NPDES Support.
Background Summary: The annual on-call contracts are used to supplement the City's staff resources or to perform specialized
services not available within the City. Having these resources available provides the City with the
flexibility to complete small tasks or projects in an efficient and timely manner as they are needed through
out the year. In this case, the additional resources are needed to support the initiation of many of the
required program elements required within the NPDES II permit. The additional tasks are as follows:
. Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan for the M&O Facility
. Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans for Other City Facilities
. IDDE Awareness and Reporting Training
. Surface Water Management Manual Adoption Assistance
. Construction/Erosion Control Inspection Program Development
. Construction/Erosion Control Inspection Training
The anticipated cost for this amendment is $65,000 increasing the agreement total to $105,000.
A project increase of $55,000 within the Storm fund will be necessary; however, it will not require a
budget adjustment due to the deferment of Project No. CP518A0 Downtown Water Quality Facility.
