SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
I. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Lynn Norman called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers
located on the first floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main Street, Auburn, WA.
Committee members present were: Chair Lynn Norman, Vice Chair Nancy Backus and
Member Rich Wagner.
Staff members present included: Director Cindy Baker, Assistant Director Kevin Snyder,
Senior Planner Chris Andersen, and Planner Stuart Wagner.
II. DISCUSSION
A. Interim Multi-Family/Mixed Use Design Standards
The Committee continued its review and refinement of the Interim Multi-Family/Mixed
Use Design Standards from its June 30, 2009 special meeting. The Committee
completed its review and refinement of all of the interim design standards for multi-
family development excluding tri-plexes and four-plexes and mixed use
development. Following completion of its review and refinement efforts, the
Committee and staff discussed next steps. Staff requested the opportunity to come
back in a few weeks with a fully refined document for Committee review and
approval. The Committee concurred and directed staff to notify the Committee when
it wanted to come back and provide the revised interim design standards to the
Committee so that it could make a determination as to whether it would hold a
special meeting to take action on the standards or take this action at a regular
meeting.
III. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Planning and Community
Development Committee, Chair Norman adjourned the meeting at 6:08 p.m.
