City Council approve Amendment #2 to Consultant Agreement No. AG-C-292 with INCA Engineers, Inc.
for Engineering Services on Project No. CP0701 - 8th St NE and R St NE Signal.
Background Summarv:
The 8'h St NE and R St NE Signal (CP0701) consists of constructing a new traffic signal at the
intersection of 8th St NE and R St NE. Consultant work includes the design and preparation of contract
documents.
Amendment #2 to INCA's Consultant Agreement addresses additional design work, which includes
revised contract drawings to incorporate the re-channelization of 8th St NE, ITS expansion and fiber optic
undergrounding, and relocating the traffic signai pole at the southeast corner of the intersection to within
the existing right-of-way. The Consultant amendment work is estimated to cost $28,500. The total
consultant costs for design engineering, including this amendment are $121,500.
A project increase of $40,850 from the 102 arterial street fund will be necessary; however no budget
adjustment is required for 2009.
