A. 2009 City Budget - Patricia Cosgrove informed the board that the City of Auburn will be cutting 10%
from the 2009 Budget
B. Flooding Issues - Patricia Cosgrove and Mike Gerber lead a conversation about potential flooding.
This flooding, is due to the fact that the Howard Hanson Dam may require the release of more water than usual
during extreme rain events. As a result of this increased water release, parts of Auburn are at a higher risk of
flooding. At risk is the Mary Olsen farm. The farm has been added to the city plans for sand bagging. Flood
insurance is being investigated.
