Background Summary: The City of Auburn sponsors recognized Citizen Corps programs. State Homeland Security Program (SHSP) grant funding has become available to provide supplies and equipment to Citizen Corps programs throughout King County. The City of Auburn, through a grant-funded temporary staff position, will act as the lead agency for this project, ensuring equitable distribution of equipment to programs throughout the County, including our own. Purpose. The City Council of the City of Auburn hereby accepts a grant from the King County Office of Emergency Management in the amount of Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) to fund King County Citizen Corps Program supply and equipment acquisition and distribution. Section 2. Implementation. The Mayor of the City of Auburn is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this resolution.
