HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-17-2008Minutes of the White River Museum Board and Annual Meeting December 17, 2008 Members Present: Ron Beyersdorf, Jan Cavanaugh, Nancy Colson, Terry Davis, Mike Gerber, Doug Hedger, Warren Kinggeorge, Gordy Nishimoto, Judi Roland, Members Excused: Pat Bailey, DeAnna Burnett Keener, Lisa Scarff Members Absent: Mike Harbin, Michelle Marshman, Jennifer Traufler, May Yamada Staff Present: Kristen Bruhahn, Tara McCauley, Allison Tisue New Board Members Present: Richard Artura, Clarissa Ruston & Tom Campbell Prior to Call to Order: Patricia's letter and photos of thanks were given to retiring Board members Nancy Colson, Terry Davis, & Gordy Nishimoto. The items will be mailed to Mike Harbin Jr. President Warren called the meeting to order at 1:50 PM. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved. Committee Reports: A. Treasurer Doug gave the financial repot for the month of November. He noted that we are allowed to take 3% from certain grants in order to balance the budget. He noted that the Weaving exhibit cost much more than planned. The balance for the month of November is ($3659) with a year to date of $805. Approval of the November Financial statement was moved by Terry and was seconded by Ronnie. B. Allison Tisue gave the Collections Committee report from the meeting held on Dec 11 to Annual Election: Ron presented the slate for election of the 2009 Historical Society Board. New members proposed are Clarissa Ruston, Tom Campbell, Gator Chamberlain & Richard Artura. Terry moved and Judi seconded to accept that slate. Motion Passed. Ron then presented the slate of officers for 2009. They are President: Ron Beyersdorf, Vice President Mike Gerber, Treasurer Doug Hedger & Secretary Lisa Scarff. It was moved by Terry & seconded by Judi that the Slate of officer be approved. Motion passed. Passing of the Gavel: Warren then passed the gavel to Ron who will begin his duties in January.
