Call To Order, Approval of Minutes Gordy Nishimoto and Introductions The meeting was called to order. A motion was made to approve the minutes and the motion was passed. II. Chair Report Gordy Nishimoto A. Discussion of Olson Farm Staffing Patricia discussed the application of staff resources to do the support work for the Mary Olson farm activities. There is a short fall of people to do the work that needs to be done to ready the farm for public use in 2009. It was proposed that the museum board advise Patricia on crafting additional job descriptions for the farm. We may need to ask the City of Auburn for staffing resources for 2008. For example a farm caretaker, animal management, gardening, and general farm work. A task force including Gordy Nishimoto, Jennifer Traufler, and Russ Welch were appointed to review staffing needs. III. Treasury and Committee Reports A. Finance Committee Doug Hedger Doug stated that there is a negative number however we were ahead of from last year. There are a number Free Wednesday's still for sale. Overall we are above budget for the year. We will see the income after the Harvest Ball. Patricia discussed the grant report and the status of reacquiring the land next to the Mary Olson Farm that was taken by King County. B. Mary Olson Farm Capital Campaign Ronnie Beyersdorf - Appletini Tuesday, 9/18, 5 - 7 p.m. - Pledge Forms Available Ronnie gave an update for the farm event. There was general discussion about invitees to the event. Holly Taylor talked about the September event. She pointed out the importance of the board making donations toward the Mary Olson Farm. We now have information sheets for the board members in their contacts with potential donors. Tara talked about the education package for the Mary Olson Farm and about the new volunteers who are being trained to provide tours at the farm. We will need a cadre of about 15 tour guides and each expected to volunteer at two tours a month for 3 hours each. F. Harvest Costume Ball Judi Roland, Doug Hedger Letters went out to previous auction donors to make donations again. Doug Hedger talked about getting donated items. He also said that the dinner breaks even with 250 tickets sold. IV. Staff Report: Curtailed due to Appletini discussion. V.
