He asked for approval of last month's minutes. The motion to approve the minutes passed. Chair Reports: President Larry explained that because of the need to work on our Harvest Ball that we should perhaps delay the proceeding with the set up of our Capital Campaign until November. Ron Beyersdorf moved that we have a capital campaign, but that we delay the implementation of that until November. The motion was seconded and passed. We will be announcing the Capital Campaign at the Harvest Ball. Patricia announced that the museum request for funding is in fourth place for the Heritage Capital Fund 2007/2009 Biennium. This amounts to $245,000 and with the city matching funds will total $490,000. The Heritage funds will be spent on the farmhouse restoration and the city funds will build a parking lot and restrooms. We are well on our way to making our 1 million Capital Campaign goal! Treasury & Committee Reports: Treasurer Doug Hedger told us we are ahead of last year's totals by about $600. The monthly loss was ($902) and year to date ($473). He noted that free Wednesdays were up considerably and with the major fundraiser yet to come, we will be fine shape at the end of the year. Motion passed to accept the second quarter Treasurers report as presented. Harvest Ball: Janice Nelson reported on Table Captains. She told us all Board Members are each expected to either sponsor or captain a table of 10 people. Nichole Adams has signed up for 2 tables and Peloza's for 1. Pat Bailey reported on Sponsorships. She has eight $800 table sponsors and several gold & silver. Various board members signed up to contact more possible sponsors. Nancy Colson reported on what Diane Rupert has procured for the Auction. There are several wine baskets and nice items. She asked that each board member bring 2 bottles of wine for the wine chest auction and items to go into wine baskets. Drop off with Patricia or bring to the next board meeting. Nancy said the Casino pasty chef was only doing 6 cakes this year instead of 15. Warren offered to talk with her and get all 15! We decided to sell 200 wine raffle tickets this year.
