He asked for additions or corrections to the minutes from the last meeting. Hearing none it was moved to accept the minutes as presented. Motion passed. Chair Reports: President-elect Gordy congratulated, along with the rest of the Board Michelle Marshman for her wonderful WWII exhibit. It was noted who attended the opening and what a great turn out it was. Treasury & Committee Reports: Patricia gave the Treasurers report. She noted that all is well except the Harvest Ball, which is behind at this point from last year. She also noted that the Gattava gift is being spent down with the purchase of new tables, painting the building and purchasing a projector. Harvest Ball: Janice Nelson talked about table captains. Joyce Peloza is doing 1 table, the Beyersdorf family is sponsoring one and filling one more, Dario Cugini is sponsoring one and filling another. Janice asked the Board members to step up to the plate. Judi reported that Diane Rupert has procured many items for the auction and asked the board to fill in the wine baskets, with items such as glasses, napkins, openers, etc. She said we need to have everything in soon, because Diane is out of town as of October 18. Diane also secured 15 cakes for auction from the Muckleshoot Casino, a considerable donation! Largo Wales and Councilmember Sue Singer are our "Vannas" and Linda Cowen is or emcee for the evening. Staff Report: Patricia noted that we are in the middle of a 10-year contract with the City and suggested that we as a Board may want to thank the City at a council meeting and present them with just how their investment has provided a platform from which we have raised significant support. Over the 16 years of this partnership the museum has raised 1.3 times the amount of the City's investment. The board felt that the City did not understand just how much money the Museum raises and that their support is the foundation of that success. It was suggested that we present each council member with applesauce from the apples at the Olson Farm. Patricia stated that Curator of Collections Nori Hawkins resigned due to health issues, and the position of Curator of Collections is open.
