The month had a deficit of $1,874.00 & year-to-date a deficit of $541.00. Part of that is due to a bill from ADT. The utility bill is increasing due to more usage as well as rates. Grant money is coming in for the operating budget and the finance committee is estimating a $6,000.00 deficit at year-end closing. It was noted that a donation was received from Jan Gatavara. On next year's financials will include a column with the actual figures from the previous years. Motion to accept the Treasurers report passed. Harvest Ball: The Harvest Ball thus far is about $7,000.00 short. The wine auction is in good shape and the raffle items are fantastic. Thanks to Diane Rupert and Kathy Lewis for gathering the items. We can pre-order wine for our tables if desired and we have several desserts to auction in a live auction. Staff Report: Mary Olson Farm: Holly and Patricia are putting together a plan to raise money to finish the farm for the board to review. Patricia reported that the driveway is done and the foundations on the house are complete. Tara is working with the school district to craft a method to incorporate into the reading materials that meet requirements in the schools. We are fortunate to have a great working relationship with the school district. It was commented that perhaps we could involve the Gates foundation in this project.
