Re: Status of City Hall Plaza Phase 1 •
Backqround
The Downtown Redevelopment Committee approved the City Hall Plaza Renovation
Master Plan in 2009. The Committee also went through a process establishing a priority
to when various elements of the master plan redesign would be implemented. The
result of the prioritization effort was a Phase I City Hall Plaza project.
Public Works and Planning staff met on January 27t" to discuss the 2010 Capital Project
spreadsheet and resourcing of the project.
Next Steps
Staff is working on consultant selection, scope of work, and contract. As part of the
prioritization work the Committee did, staff will bring back to the Committee, at a future
meeting, a final scope of work before woricing on a consultant contract. Any consultant
contract will be brought back to the Committee for review and recommendation to the
City Council.
