HomeMy WebLinkAbout3668ORDINANCE NO. 3 6 6 8 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT ON PROPERTY ZONED M-2 ON A PARCEL OF LAND 27,000 SQUARE FEET IN SIZE LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF 15TH AND "A" STREET NORTHEAST, WITHIN THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON. WHEREAS, a petition dated June 12, 1981, together with plot plans and exterior elevations therefore, has been submitted to the Council of the City of Auburn, by Steve Lone, Jr., requesting a Conditional Use Permit on property zoned M-2 for the purpose of constructing a 37 - unit motel, on a parcel of land 27,000 square feet in size located at the Southeast corner of 15th and "A" Street Northeast, within the City of Auburn, Washington, which property hereinafter legally described in Section 1 of this Ordinance and which property presently carries.an M-2 (Heavy-Industrial) classification; and WHEREAS, said request above,referred to was referred by the City Council to the City Planning Commission for study and public hearing thereon; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider the request in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, at 7:30 P.M. on July 7, 1981, and subsequent thereto, the City Planning Commission approved the issuance of a Conditional Use Permit on property zoned M-2, finding that the proposed use illustrated by the site development plans of the petitioner would not be unduly detrimental to the adjacent and surrounding properties and the enjoyment thereof; and WHEREAS. the City Counciliof the City of Auburn, held a public hearing to consider said petition in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall at 8:00 P.M. on August 3, 1981, at the conclusion of which the City Council concurred with the recommendations of the Planning Commission as hereinabove stated; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: ------------------------- Ordinance No. 3668 Page One 8-7-81 Section 1. That a Conditional Use Permit on property zoned M-2 (Heavy- Industrial) be granted for the purpose of constructing a 37 unit motel on a parcel of land 27,000 square feet in size, located at the Southeast corner of 15th and "A" Street Northeast, situated in the City of Auburn, County of King, State of Washington, and legally described as follows: The W 150 ft of Lot 4 of City of Auburn Short Plat No. SP-10-77 as recorded under King County Auditors File No. 7904180796 situated in Section 7, Twp,21 N, R 5 EWM City of Auburn, County of King, State of Washington. in accordance with the plot plans and exterior elevations for said development submitted with the request for a Conditional Use Permit on property zoned M-2, a copy of which is attached hereto, designated as Exhibit "A" and by this reference made a part hereof as though set forth in full herein. Section 2. That the building shall be situated on the property as shown on the site plan submitted with the application. Section 3. That the roof elevation of the structure not exceed 91.5 feet above mean sea level. Section 4. That any conditions of the Public Works or Fire Departments be complied with. Section 5. This request shall also be subject to any conditions of the F.A.A. Section 6. That the Conditional Use Permit shall be null and void if construction has not been commenced within one year after the adoption of this Ordinance. Section 7. The Planning Director of the City of Auburn, Washington, is hereby authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the King County Auditor. i bl ------------------------- Ordinance No. 3668 Page Two 8-7-81 Section 8.
