AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING SUB SECTION B OF
AUBURN CODIFIED CITY ORDINANCE 13.36.240 MAINTAINING THE EXISTING
FRANCHISE TAX ON CATV (CABLE) TELEVISION SYSTEMS AT A SUM EQUAL
TO FOUR PERCENT OF THE ANNUAL GROSS REVENUES OF SAID COMPANIES
BUT SETTING ASIDE ONE PERCENT THEREOF IN A SPECIAL FUND FOR
REGULATION OF THE CABLE TELEVISION INDUSTRY WITHIN THE CITY
LIMITS OF AUBURN.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Auburn Codified City Ordinance 13.36.240 sub section B
(pertaining to franchise fees on cable television companies) is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"13.36.240 Payment of taxes.
B. Any company granted a franchise and franchise permit
pursuant to this chapter shall pay to the city, for
the privilege of operating and maintaining a community
antenna television system in the city, a sum equal to
four percent of the annual gross revenues taken in and
received by the company from the operation of such
system in the city, with a minimum of one hundred
dollars per year, payable semiannually on or before
July thirty-first and January thirty-f.,i.rst?of each year.
Provided, however, there is herewith created a special
fund into which one percent of said annual franchise
fee payments will be deposited for the purpose of
financing regulation of cable television by the City
of Auburn."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days
from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.

of the City of Auburn, a Municipal Corporation and Code City, situate in
the County of King, State of Washington, do hereby certify that the fore-
going is a full, true and correct copy of ordinance No. 3673 of the
ordinances of the City of Auburn, entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING SUB SECTION B OF AUBURN CODIFIED CITY
ORDINANCE 13.36.240 MAINTAINING THE EXISTING FRANCHISE TAX ON CATV (CABLE)
TELEVISION SYSTEMS AT A SUM EQUAL TO FOUR PERCENT OF THE ANNUAL GROSS
REVENUES OF SAID COMPANIES BUT SETTING ASIDE ONE PERCENT THEREOF IN A
SPECIAL FUND FOR REGULATION OF THE CABLE TELEVISION INDUSTRY WITHIN THE
CITY LEAITS OF AUBURN.
I certify that said Ordinance No. 1673 was duly passed by the Council
and approved by the Mayor of the said City of Auburn, on the 17Th day of
August A.D., 19-L_.
I further certify that said Ordinance No. 3673 _ was published as provided
by law in the Daily Globe News, a daily newspaper published in the City of
Auburn, and of general circulation therein, on the Z-3rd day of Auggic-v r -
