AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, REPEALING AUBURN CODIFIED
CITY ORDINANCE 2.51.020 RELATING TO COUNCILMEN'S COMPENSATION
AND CREATING A NEW CHAPTER 2.51.020.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
FOllOWS:
Section 1. Auburn Codified City Ordinance 2.51.020 relating to
Councilmen's Compensation is herewith repealed in its entirety.
Section 2. There is herewIth cereated a new Auburn Codified CIty
Ordinance Chapter 2.51.020, which shall read as follows:
"2.51 . 020 Councilmen's compensati on.
A. On and after January 1, 1979, those councilmen eligible
therefor shall receive an increase in their monthly salary
from one hundred fifty dollars per month to two hundred
dollars per month; and on and after January 1,1980, all
councilmen shall receive an increase in their monthly
salary from two hundred dollars to two hundred fifty
dollars per month.
B. On and after January 1,1983, those councilmen eligible
therefor shall receive an increase in their monthly salary
from two hundred fifty dollars to three hundred twenty-
five dollars per month.
C. On and after January 1, 1984, those councilmen eligible
therefor shall receive an increase in their monthly salary
from three hundred twenty-five dollars to four hundred
twenty-five dollars per month.
D. Payment. The compensation provided for in this section
shall be paid on the first day of each month next succeeding
the month in which such services are performed, by proper
warrants drawn upon the finance director of the city."

Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)
days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
