AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
A PARCEL OF LAND 5497 SQ. FT. IN SIZE.LOCATED OPJ THE NORTHWEST CORNER
OF 1ST AND."E" STREET N.E., WITHIN THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION THEREOF FROM R-4. to C-2.

WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Council of the . City of
Auburn, Washington, by ZANE JOHNSON and ERNEST and SUSAN CRANE, requesting
, the rezoning of the real property hereinafter described in Section 1 of this
Ordinance, which petition was dated July 8, 1981, and
WHEREAS, said request above referred to, was referred to the Planning
Commission by the Auburn City Council fo.r study and public hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider said
petition in the Council.Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, on September 9; 1981,
at 7:30 P.M., at the conclusion of which the Planning Commission recommended
the approval of the rezoning of the said property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, held a public hearing

in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall+, at 8:00 P:M. on October 5,. 1981,
at which time the'Gity Council concurred with the'recommendations of :tlie Planning
Commission as hereinabo4e stated. ' NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY,OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS.FOLLOWS: '
Section"1. That the following described property located on a parcel of
land 5497 sq. ft.. in.size located on the northwest corner of lst and "E" Street
N.E.,.situate irr the City of Auburn, County of.i:ing, State of Washingtcn,
be and the same is hereby rezoned from.R-4 (Multi-Family) to C-2 (Central
Business District) to-wit:
Lot 6, Block 2, Downing and Shrader's Addition to Auburn, King
Gounty,.Washington.

Section 2. That the amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map of the
City of Auburn, Washington, encompassing this Zon•ing use classification change,
which amendment.is designated as Exhibit "A" hereof,.be and the same.is hereby
approved.
Section 3. That-the Planning Director for the City of Auburn, Washington,
is hereby authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance
with the King County Auditor.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take eff.ect and be in force five (5)
days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
