AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON-AMENDING AUBURN CODIFIED CITY
ORDINANCE 13.04.220 DAMAGE FROM WATER SHUT-OFF,- CITY NONLIABILITY.
THE CITY'COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWSi
' Section.l. Auburn Codified City Ordinance 13.04.220 ishereby amended to
nead as follows: -
13.04.220. Damage fr-om water shut-off - City nonliability. .

The city reserves the right at•any time, without notice, to shut off the
water-supply for repairs, extensions, nonpayment of rates, payment of city
utility b'i`lls'with'insufficient fund checks,,or any other reason; and the
city-shall not-be responsible for any damage such as the bursting of
boilers s'upplied by-dir.ect,pressure, the breaking of any pipes or.fix-
~ tures;'stoppages or interruptions of water supply, or any other damage
reSulting `from the'shutting off of water; and the city further shall
, impose a((t~)) five dollar return charge for turning on water
that iias•been shut off pursuant to this section for nonpayment of rates or
payment of"city utility bills with insufficient fund c{iecks.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall.take effect and be in force five (5) days
from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law:
