ORDINANCE N0. 3 7 0 0 •
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGT.ON, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
A PARCEL OF;LAND 5497 SQ. FT. IN SIZE LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF 1ST
STREET N.E. IN THE 400 BLOCK AKA 405 1ST STREET N.E., WITHIN THE CITY OF-
AUBURN,"WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION THEREOF FROM
R-4 .to C-2. '
WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Council of the City of.
Auburn, Washington, by-BETTY LF1DD, requesting the rezoning of the real property
hereinafter described in Section 1 of this Ordinance, which petition was
d.ated August 20, 1981•, and
WHEREAS, said request above referred to, was referred to the Planning •
'Commission by the Auburn City Council for study and public hearing thereon; and
- WHEREAS, the P.lanning Commission'held a public hearing to consider said
petitiori in ttie Council Chambers of the Auburn City Habl, on October 2; 1981, at
7:30 P.M.; at the conclusion of which"the Planning'Commission recommended the
approval of the rezoning of the said property; and '
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, held a public hearing
in the Counail Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, at 8:00 P.M. on November 2,.-
1981; at which time the City Council concurred with the recommendations of the
'P.lanning Commission as hereinabove stated.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIt OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: . ,
Section l. That the following described property located on a parcel of
land 5497 sq:.ft. in size loeated on the north side of lst Street N.E. in the
400.b1ock AKA 405 1st Street N.E., si.tuate in the City of Auburn, County of
King, State of Washingtoh, be and the same is hereby rezoned from R-4
(Multi-Fami'ly) to C-2 (Central Business District) to-wit:
Lot 9, Block 2Downing arid -Schraders'Add.ition to the City of Auburn as
recorded in P1ats, Vo1 20, pg 68 Records of King County, WA. Situated
in Section.18, Twp 21 N, R 5 EWM City of Auburn, County of King, State
of Washington. . , '

Section 2. That the amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map of the City
of Auburn, Washington, encompassing this Zoning use classification change, whieh .
amendment is designated as Exhibit "A" hereof, 6e and the same is hereby
approved.
Section 3. That the P1anning Director for the City of Auburn, Washington,
is hereby authorized and.directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance ' •
with the King County Auditor:
Section 4.." This Ordinance:shall take effect and be in force five (5) days
from'and after its passage; approval and publication, as provided by law.
