• 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON,. RROVIDING FOR THE'REZONING OF
3 A PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF EAST MAIN AND "I"
STREET S.F., WITHIN .THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE
• 4 ZONING CLASSIFICATION THEREOF FROM R-3 to C-1.
5 WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Council of the City of
•g Auburn, Washington, by JOE MELCHER,.requesting the rezoning of,the real pro- .
7 perty hereinafter descr.ibed,in Section 1 of fhis Ordinance, which petition was
, 8 dated November.12, 1981;'and ' 9 WHEREAS, said request`above referred to, was referred to the Planning.
10 Commission by the Auburn City Council for study and public hearing thereon;
11 and
12 ; WHEREAS,.the,Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider said

13 petitiorr in.the.Counc,il.Chamtiers of;the Auburn City Hall, on January 5, 1982,.
14 at 7:30 P.M.•, at the conc,lusion of which,.the Planning Commission recommerided`

15 the approval of the rei'oning'of the sai'd property; and
16 WHEREAS; tlie City-Council of• the City of Auburn, held a public hearing
17 in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, at 8:00 P.M. on February 1,
18 1982, at_which time the City Council concurred with the recommendations of the
19 Planning Commission as hereinabove stated.20 NOW,'THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY Of AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO
21 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:.
22 Section 1. That'the following described property located on a•parcel of
23 land located at the Southwest corner of East Main and "I" Street S.E., situate
• 24 in the City of Auburn, County of King, State of Washington, be and the same is
25 hereby rezoned'from R-3 (Duplez) to C-1 (Light Commercial) to-wit:

27 Lots 1 and 2, Blk 1, Joslyn's first Addition to Auburn, as per plat
recorded in Vol 26 of Plats, pg 49, Records of King County, WA.
28 situated in Sec 18, Twp 21 N, R 5 EWM,.City of Auburn, County of King,
, State of Washington. •

1 Section 2. Tliat the amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning'Map of the City
2 of Auburn, Washington, encompassing this Zoning use classification change,
3 which amendment is designated as Exfiibit "A" hereof, be and the same is hereby
4 apProved.
5 Section'3., That the Planning Director for the City of Auburn, Washington,
6 is hereby authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance '
7 with the King County Auditor.
. 8 Section 4. The Mayor is fiereby authorized to implement such administra-
9tive procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this
10 legislation. ' 11 Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days
12 from and.after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
