AN ORDINANCE OF,THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
4 A PARCEL OF'LAND 13,200 SQ. FT. IN SIZE LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF "M"
STREET N.E. 126 FEET NORTH OF EAST MAIN STREET AKA 14 AND 20 "M" STREET
5 N.F „ WITHIN THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING•
CLASSIFICATION THEREOF FROM R-3 to C-1.

7 WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Council of the City of
8 Auburn, Washington, by RICHARD P. GARNEAU AND RUTH E. RUPERT, requesting the
9 rezoning.of the real property hereinafter described in Section 1 of this
10 Ordinance, which pet'ition was dated January 13, 1982; and
11 WHEREAS, said request 'above referred to, was referred to the Planning
12 Commission by the Auburn City Council for study and public hearing thereon;
13 and •
14 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission.held a public hearing to consider said
15 petition in'the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, on February 2, 1982,
16 at 7:30 P.M., at the conclusion of which the Planning Commission recommended
17 the approval of the rezoning of the said property; and
18 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, held a public hearing
19 in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, at 8:00 P.M. on March 1,
20 1982, at which time'the City Council concurred with the recommendations of the
21 Planning Commission as hereinabove stated.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO
23 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
24 Section 1. That the.following described property located on a parcel of
25 land 13,200 sq. ft. in size located on the east side of "M" Street N.E. 126
26 feet nor_th of East Main Street'aka 14 and 20 ~"M" Street N.E., situate in the
27 ` .
City of Auburn, County of King, State of Washington, be and the same is hereby

rezoned from R-3 (Duplex) to C-i (Light Commercial) to-wit:

Lot 13,,14; and the SZ of Lot 15, Blk B, Witt's First Addition to
30 • A'ubur,n,:as per,plat recorded in Vol 21 of Plats, pg 21, Records of
. King County, Wash. situated'in Section 18, Twp 21 N, R 5 EWM, City of
31 Auburn,,County of King, State of Washington.

Section 2. That the amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map.of the City

of Auburn, Washington, encompassing this Zoning use classification change,
3 which amendmen't°is~designated as'Ezhiibit "A" hereof, be and the same is hereby

Section 3. That tfie PTanning Director for the City of Auburn, Washington,

is hereby authorized and di,rected to;fi.le a certified copy of this Ordinance

with the King County Auditor.

Section 4. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administra-

tive procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this '
10
legislation.
11 Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days
12 .
from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
