6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
ry Section 1. Auburn Codified City Ordinance 9.02.050 relating to Resisting
g a Public Officer is upon the effective date of this,Ordinance repealed.
g Section 2. There is herewith enacted a new Auburn Codified City Ordinance
10 9•02.050 relating to obstructing a police officer which shall read as follows,
11 to-wit: .12 "9.02:050 Obstructing:a_poTice officer.
13 Every'person who shall knowirigly hinder, delay, or obstruct any
14 police officer in:the discharge of his official powers or duties
15 sfiall be guilty of a misdemeanor.°
16 Section 3. There is herewith created a new Auburn Codified:City Ordinance
17 9.02.060 relating to resisting arrest which shall read as follows, to-wit:
18 "9.02,060 Resisting arrest. •
, 19 A person is guilty'of the misdemeanor of Resisting Arrest 'if he
20 intentionally prevents or attempts to prevent a police officer from
21 lawfully arresting,him."

23 Section-4. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
24 administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of
25 this legislation. '

the County of King, State of WashirnJton, do hereby certify that the fore-
