THE CITY COUNCIL Of THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. There is herewith added to Chapter 18 of the,Auburn City Code
6 .
' relating to zoning the following new sections, which shall read as follows:

"18.04.035 Amusement Devices - Mechanical.

The term mechanical•amusement deyice shall mean any machine which

uPon,the irisertion:of a coin, slug, token; plate or disk, may be operated

11 ' by°the pu6lic generally for use as a'game, entertainment or amusement
whether:or,not registering a"score.tt shall include such devices as

marble machines, pinball,machi.nes, skill ball, mechanical grab machines,

vi'deo games and all games,` operations or transactions similar thereto

15 under whatever name.they may.be indicated to specify. The term mechanical
16 amusement device shall not,include pool tables."
17 "18;04.045 Arcades.
18 The term arcade shall include any place ofbusiness having in excess
19 of four (4) mechanical amusemenf devices as defined in Section 18.04.035."
20 Section'2. Auburn Codified City Ordinance 18.28.040 relating to Uses
21 Requiring Conditional Use Permit is upon the effective date of this Ordinance
22 repealed. .
23 Section 3. There is herewith enacted a new Auburn Codified City Ordinance
24 18.28.040 relating to Uses Requiring Conditional Use Permit, which shall read
25 as followsc • ,
26 "18.28.040 Uses Requiring Conditional Use Permit.
27 The following-uses are permitted when authorized by the Council pur-
28 suant to the provisions,of Chapter 18.70, provided that such uses are to
29 be located in this zone subject to.the granting of a conditional use

A. Animal hosp:ital services and veterinarian services, provided that no
2 outside runs or animal storage will-be permitted in this district;

7 Section 6. Auburn City Code 18.30.040 relating to Uses Requiring
8 Conditional Use Permit is up.on the effective date of the Ordinance repealed.
9 Section 7. There is herewith enacted a new Auburn Codified City Ordinance
10 18.30.040 relating to Uses Requiring Conditional Use Permit, which shall read

1' Section 8.The';Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such'administra-
. tive procedures as may be necessary to,carry out the directions of this`
3 legislation. 4 Section 9. A public emergency is herewith declared necessary for the pro-
5tection of public health, public safety, public property or the public'peace
