AN ORDINANCE OF THE`CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION 3 AND INSTALLATION OF WATER MAINS, FIRE HYDRANTS AND SANITARY SEWER AND APPURTENANCES ON 22ND STREET N.E. BETWEEN "I" STREET N.E. AND "M" STREET 4 N.E., DESCRIBED IN SECTION 2 OF THIS ORDINANCE; CREATING AND ESTABLISHING LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT N0. 326; PROVIDING THE METHOD OF ASSESSMENT 5 IN SAID DISTRICT AND THE MODE OF PAYMENT THEREOF, AND CREATING A LOCAL. 6 IMPROVEMENT FUND THEREFOR. 7 8 WHEREAS, e petition has been filed with the City.Council of the City of Auburn, signed by the owners of the property aggregating a majority (1) of the ' 9 10 lineal frontage upon the improvement and (2).of the area wi.thin the proposed 11 district, setting forth the nature and territorial extent of the proposed. . 12 improvement, the mode of payment and what proportion of the lineal frontage 13 upon the improvement and of the area within the proposed district is owned by 14 the petitioners as shown by.the records in the Office of the County Auditor 15 for King County,Washington, petitioning for the construction and installation ' 16 of water mains, fire hydrants and sanitary sewer and appurtenances on 22nd 17 Street N.E. between "I" Street N.E. and "M" Street N.E., legally described in 18 Section 2 of this Ordinance, inside the corporate limits of the City of 19 Auburn; anG ' . 20 WHEREAS, the City Engineer has caused an estimate to be made on the cost 21 and expense of the proposed improvement and has certified said estimates to, 22 the City Council, together with_all papers and information in his possession . 23 touching the proposed improvements, 'a description of the boundaries of the 24 district, a statement of what portion of.the costs and expense of the improve7 25. merits should be borne by the property within the proposed district, a state- 26 ment in detail of any local improvement assessments outstanding and unpaid 27 against the property in the proposed district, and a statement of the aggre- 28 gate.actual'valuation of the real estate and the actual valuation of the 29 improvements in'the proposed district according to the valuation last placed , . 30 upon it.for the'purpose'of general taxation; and 31 WHEREAS, said estimates are accompanied by a diagram of the proposed 32 improvements showing thereon the lots, tracts and parcels of land and other, ' . That the estimated cost in carrying out the foregoing improve- . 10 ment is hereby declared to be as near as may be, the sum of $$48,671,13. 11 Section 4. Applicable costs and expenses of all engineering, legal, 12 inspection, advertising, publication and notices, and a•1J other expenses inci- 13 dent thereto, shall be levied and assessed against all of the property legally 14 arid properly assessable therefor, as prbvided by the laws of the State of 15 Washington and the Ordinances of the City of Auburn. 16 ' Section 5. That said improvements shall be made by the City of Auburn 17 under the supervision of the City Council thereof or such committee or person • 18 as the City Council may designete. ' . 19 Section 6.
