2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
g A PARCEL OF LAND APPROXIMATELY 69 ACRES IN SIZE LYING BETWEEN THE
BURLINGTON NORTHERN RAILROAD RIGHT OF 41AY AND THE AUBURN MUNICIPAL
4 AIRPORT AND SOUTH OF 30TH STREET N.W., WITHIN THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONiNG CLASSIFICATION THEREOF FROM P-1'
5 TO M-1.

. WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Council of the City of

Auburn,;Washington, by the LITY OF AUBURN, requesting the rezoning of the real

property hereinafter described in Section 1 of this Ordinance, which petition

was dated September 3, 1980; and

WHEREAS, said request above referred to, was referred.to the.Planning
11
Commission by the Auburn City Council for study and public hear.ing thereon;
12
and
13 WHEREAS, the'Plannning Commission held a public hearing to consider said
14
petition in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, on August 3, 1982,
15
at 7:30 P.M., at the conclusion of which the Planning Commission recommended
16

the approval of the rezoning of the said property; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, held a public hearing in

the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, at 8:00 P.M. on 'August 16, 1982,
19 '
20 at which time the City Council concurred with the recommendations of the
21 Planning Commission as hereinabove stated; .
22 NOW; THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO
23 ORDAIN AS FOLIOWS:
24 ~ Section 1. That the following described property located on a parcel of
25 land approximately 69 acres in size lying between the Burlington Northern
26 Railroad right of way and the Auburn Municipal Airport and south of 30th
27 Street N.W., situate in the City of Auburn, County of King, State of
28 Washington, be and the same is hereby rezoned from P-1 (Public Use) to M-1
29 (Light I.ndustrial), to-wit:.

14 Section 3. That the City C1erk,Aof the City of Auburn, is hereby . ,
15 authorized and directed to file a"certified copy of this Ordinance with the

16 King County.Auditor'. .
17 Section 4. That the City Council'of the ~City of Auburn, Washington,
18 herewitfi finds that this reione-is consistent with the City of Auburn
lg Comprehensive Zoning Map and zoning plan and its passage is in the best
20 interests of the citizens of the City of Auburn.
21 Section 5. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administra-
22 tive procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this
23 legislation.. 24
