Administrative Recommendation:
City Council grant permission to enter into Amendment #2 to Consultant Agreement No. AG-C-348 with
Anchor QEA for engineering services for Project No. CP0819, Peasley-Canyon Rd Culvert Crossing.
Background Summary:
This project will replace the failing culvert on Peasley-Canyon Rd, just west of W. Valley Hwy, with a 20
foot wide box culvert capable of required fish passage; the project will also replace the 48 inch overflow
culvert from the wetland just south of Mill Creek, construct minor adjustments to the creek flow channel
just immediately upstream and downstream of the culvert, landscape the disturbed areas, and adjust
minor road grade issues at the culvert.
The amendment to the original agreement provides for the Consultant to respond to additional permitting
issues not included in the original scope. Additionally, at the culvert crossing a road grade adjustment is
needed to accommodate the new culvert.
The not-to-exceed amount for this amendment is $70.000, increasing the agreement total to $290,000.00.
A project increase of $213, 750 within the 432 fund/account will be necessary; however it will not require
a budget adjustment since it is anticipated that the budgeted expenditures in the 432 fund/account will not
be exceeded this year.
