Administrative Recommendation:
City Council grant permission to enter into Consultant Agreement No. AG -C-383 with Landau Associates,
Inc. for engineering design services for Project No. CP0638, 15th Street NW Culvert Maintenance.
Background Summary:
The existing box culvert on Mill Creek at 15th Street NW is approximately one-third obstructed with
sediment, vegetation and gravel. The purpose of this project is to clean the existing culvert and construct
habitat improvements by planting approximately 650 lineal feet of the adjacent ditch.
In 2008, the City entered into an agreement with Tetra Tech for permit support and engineering services.
Tetra Tech, working with Landau Associates, Inc., prepared the 50% contract plans.
Landau Associates, Inc. has been selected to provide Engineering Design Services for the final contract
documents for the above -referenced project. The anticipated cost for this agreement is $75,000.00.
Construction for this project is anticipated to occur in the Fall of 2010.
The total estimated project cost is $490,720. For 2010, an overall project budget contingency of $4,350
remains in the 432 Storm fund.
