See changes noted below. Background Summary: 2.72.180 Interments per individual grave. The interment of two bodies in one grave will not be allowed in areas designated for single depth burials; only three cremated remains or one casket and eye two cremated remains per single grave allowed. The interment of two bodies in one grave allowed only in designated areas. Only cremated remains may be buried in Pioneer Cemetery. No interment other than that of a human being will be permitted. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Amendment to City Code. That Section 2.72.180 of the Auburn City Code be and the same hereby is amended to read as follows: Section 2.72.180 INTERMENTS PER INDIVIDUAL GRAVE The interment of two bodies in one grave will not be allowed in areas designated for single depth burials, only ~Y^YV three cremated remains or ~~^-^one casket and ~n°two cremated remains per single grave vi iv ~vvv allowed. (Ord. 4485 § 6, 1991; 1957 code § 10.02.150.} Section 2. Implementation. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this legislation. Section 3. Severability. The provisions of this ordinance are declared to be separate and severable. The invalidity of any clause, sentence, Ordinance No. 6306 April 20, 2010 Page 1 paragraph, subdivision, section or portion of this ordinance, or the invalidity of the application thereof to any person or circumstance shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance, or the validity of its application to other persons or circumstances. Section 4. Effective date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
