Current Status
The ADA created their bylaws in 1995 which outlines the purpose of the ADA,
establishing board members, meetings, membership, committees, and other provisions.
Projects conducted by the ADA must follow the five general scope areas identified in
Ordinance No. 4293 and outlined below:
• Business retention and recruitment
• Marketing to encourage people to use shops and services within the BIA
• Special events and promotions
• Improving the security and maintenance of the pedestrian environment
• Enhancing the aesthetic appearance of the BIA
With the new Executive Director hired, the ADA is back on its feet working towards
accomplishing their 2010 work plan. Some key items in the ADA 2010 work plan are the
new ADA website, www.auburndt.ora, a business directory for the businesses within the
BIA, and continued work on events. The ADA is also working on re-establishing their
committees to be in compliance with the state's Main Street program. Those
committees include promotions, design, economic restructuring, and executive.
The Board of Directors held a 1/ day retreat on April 13, 2010 to develop an updated
mission statement and vision, review progress on the 2010 work plan, and work on
amendments to the by-laws.
