RESOLUTION N0. 8 3 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF THE CITY*OF AUBURN, TO ENTER INTO AN INTER-DEPARTMENTAL MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT (CIVIL DISTURBANCE OR (RIOTS - POLICE SERVICES) BETWEEN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF AUBURN, RENTON, TUKWILA, KENT, ENUMCLAW AND THE PORT OF SEATTLE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, HEREWITH RESOLVES THAT: The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Auburn, Washington, are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an Inter-Departmental Mutual Aid Agreement (Civil Disturbance or Riots - Police Services) between the municipalities of Auburn, Renton, Tukwila, Kent, Enumclaw and the Port of Seattle. That a copy of said Agreement is attached hereto, denominated as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof as though set forth in full herein. DATED and SIGNED this ~%tZ day of October, 1977. North Auburn, Washington 98002 Dear Chief Scyler: Enclosed is a copy of a completed Mutual Aid Agreea:ent between , the Port of Seattle and the cities of.Renton, Kent and Auburn. As ou.tlined in Se:ction 2.of this agreement, the Por-t of Seattle Police De.partment wil:l respond to your.requests for emergency services as stipulated in the agreement. I mi:ght add .that due to some federal funding progra.ms either " frbm.the.F.A.A. or L.E.A.A. we have acquired both K-9`Explosive , Sniffer'Doqs and considerable explosive. ordinance demolition equipment and have three officers wHo have completed the Redstone ' Arsenal bomb demolition course:. As you may be faced with a situation where.you could utilize the services of these officers, ' they are available. The only stipulatiori I have placed upon our personnel in responding to another agency would be the reques't.for our response come from the Chief of the other agency to me dire.ct.
