Parks and Recreation Board Meeting
Minutes
Tuesday, May 4, 2010
5:30 p.m.
Auburn Senior Activity Center, Rotary Room
I.Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 5:37 pm by Chairman Mike Hassen. Those members present in
addition to Mr. Hassen were Greg Dobbs, Richard Artura and Vicki Gilthvedt. Department staff members
present were Parks, Arts and Recreation Director Daryl Faber and Parks Secretary Julie Mehl. There is
no quorum.
II.Minutes
The minutes of the March meeting were not approved as there was no quorum.
III.Committee Member Input
Michael Hassen is preparing his presentation for the Planning & Community Development Committee

meeting on May 10.

VII.Department Report
A.Director Faber reported that the Jacobsen Tree Farm neighborhood was extremely supportive of
the park plans. Mr. Faber shared a large scale drawing of the master plan for Jacobsen Tree
Farm and passed out copies of the 24 page master plan prepared by The Berger Partnership
Landscape Architects.
B. Mr. Faber gave the board a tour of the Barrier Free Playground, which is on schedule for
completion by Kids Day on June 25. Daryl reviewed the special events this month; Clean Sweep
thnd
May 8 and Petpalooza / Dog Trot May 22.
VIII.Adjournment
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:10 p.m.
