City Council grant permission to advertise for bids for Project No. CP1014, Commercial Buildings
Demolition Project.
Background Summary:
The Commercial Buildings Demolition Project consists of demolishing the Marvel Building located on the
southwest corner of West Main Sf. and S. Division St. and the Crites/Muff Buildings located on the
southwest corner of 1st St SW and S. Division St. The demolitions will also include the removal of
hazardous materials from the properties (asbestos and lead paint) and the severance of existing utilities
serving the properties.
The project construction is anticipated to begin in August 2010 and be completed by Octo6er 2010.

This project is included as part of the City Hall Plaza Project in Budget Amendment #6 and is anticipated
to have a project budget contingency of $0 remaining in the Local Revitalizafion Fund.
