Administrative Recommendation:
City Council approve award of Contract 10-14, Project No. CP0715, Mary Olson Farm Restoration, to the
lowest responsible bidder.
Background Summary:
This is the first phase of a 2-phase project. The first phase of the project is construction of a new parking lot for the Mary Olson Farm. The second phase of the project is to complete
the restrooms and other site
enhancements at the parking lot and is anticipated to be done in 2012 or when funding is available. This
project is a portion of the overall Mary Olson Farm Restoration project which includes completion of other
park amenities.
Because the bid opening was held on July 2010, there was not adequate time for staff to compile the
bid tabulation. A revised agenda bill specifying the contractor and contract amount will be distributed to the Committee at their meeting scheduled for July 12, 2010.
Updated information regarding budget status will be presented with the revised agenda bill.
A project increase of approximately $23,290 within the 321 fundlaccount may be necessary; however it is
intended to bid the project with additive bid items that can be removed to reduce the project cost to the
available budget.
