The new Route 910 is a Transif Now partnership service jointly funded by the City of Auburn and Metro. The service is intended to provide direct connections between North Auburn neighborhoods and Southwest Auburn activity centers including the Supermall and YMCA. Service would operate through the Auburn Transit Center to facilitate transfers with other routes. The existing Route 919 will be modified to eliminate service overlap with the new route. The following bus stop changes will occur as a result of this new route: • Anew terminallbus zone on 37th Street NW, eastboundlfarside ofAuburn Way N • Newland or reactivated bus stops southbound along I Street NE • New bus stop at 10th Street NEIA Street NE, WB or NB, serving Auburn Court • New bus stop northbound on Supermall Drive north of 15th Street SW • Anew pullout southbound on Supermall Drive at the "Carousel Court" at the NE corner of Supermall • Anew pullout in front of the YMCA main entrance, in the YMCA parking lot, on the east side of building See the attached maps of the routes for reference. Service would live loop fromlto a layover in North Auburn on 37th Street NW, eastbound/farside Auburn Way N. DART service would be provided in Southwest Auburn bordered by the Supermall on the north, 15th Street SW on the south, Supermall Drive on the east, and 0 Street SW on the west. Objectives Improve local service by connecting Auburn neighborhoods with major activity centers. Layover Impact The terminal for new Route 910 would be located on the south side of 37th Street NW, farside of Auburn Way North, opposite the Auburn Square apartment complex. Signage Change Instructions (for through-routes only) Service Levels Operate service hourly, Monday through Saturday. On weekdays, service would begin at about 7:57 AM ,southbound from 37thlAuburn Way, with the last northbound trip returning back at about 4;45 PM. Public Information & Signaqe Recommendations Information regarding new DART Route 910 serving North and Southwest Auburn should be included in the September 2010 Special Rider Alert Brochure, which should also note that this is a "Transit Now" funded service partnership with the City of Auburn. The 910 Timetable should also reference "Transit Now" including a corner banner on the front panel and message inside stating "New route! Metro added this route to its system thanks to the passage of Transit Now and a financial partnership with the City of Auburn." (Saturday service, when Senior Center is closed, will continue to operate via Auburn Way S.} -Discontinue north Auburn DART service area. Objectives Improve local neighborhood transit service in Auburn. Background Revisions to DART Route 919 would take place in conjunction with the implementation of new DART Route 910. Both routes will combine to provide improved local neighborhood service in Auburn. The revisions are intended to reduce service overlap in north Auburn and provide improved service to the Auburn Senior Center. Layover Impact The Route 919 layover in north Auburn would shift from 28th Street NE to the Auburn Park &Ride, using the westbound pullout on 15th Street NE.
