CML SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING
Meeting Minutes of August 10, 2010
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Civil Service Commission was held August 10, 2010, in Resouree Room #2
located on the second floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main Street, Auburn, WA. The following members were
in attendance.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Dick Kammeyer, Member Cyril Van Selus and MemberGene Cerino.
STAFF PRESENT: Police Chief Jim Kelly, City Attorney Dan Heid, and Civil Service Secretary Terry Mendoza.
ACTION:
Chairman Kammeyer called the meetingto order at 3:34 p.m.
Approval of the July 13, 2010, Civil Service Corrmmission meeting minutes:
• Minutes were accepted as written. Motion by Member Cerino; Member Van Selus seconded.
Approval of the August 6, 2010, Lateral Police Officer Eligibility list:
• Eligibility list approved. Motion by Member Van Selus; Member Cerino seconded.
UPDATES•
Terry Mendoza provided the following updates:
• The recruitment for Entry Level Police Officer closes today at 5:00 p.m. The written exam is cunently
scheduled for Wednesday, August 25, 2010.
• The promotional exam for Assistant Police Chief is set for Friday, August 20 and four (4) candidates are
confirmed to participate in the exam process.
• The promotional exam for Police Commander is set for Friday, August 27. The deadline to request
participation in this exam is Monday,_August 16.
• The promotional exam for Police Sergeant is tentatiyely scheduled for September 23 and 24. The
deadline to request participation in this exam is Friday, August 20.
ADJOURNMENT•
There being no further business to come before the Commission, the meeting adjourned at 3:42 p.m.
