IV.HUMAN SERVICES UPDATE
A. Joint Session with Human Services Committee (Hursh - 20 minutes)
The Committee and Community Services Manager Michael Hursh will provide an
annual update of the Committee’s work to date and briefly describe some of the
issues that presently contribute to the need of human services work in the greater
Auburn Area.
B. Collaboration Study (Hursh – 10 minutes)
In addition, staff will provide an update on the progress of the Human Services
Center and a brief synopsis of the City’s contracted agencies.
V. ACTION
A.Ordinance No. 6328 (Tate – 5 minutes)*
Summary: Discussion of proposed amendments to Chapter 1.25 (Civil Penalties and
Violations) for expedited corrective responses to abandoned and/or unkept or
unoccupied residential and non-residential properties in the City of Auburn.
B. City of Auburn/Pierce County Puyallup/White River Interlocal agreement
(Andersen – 15 minutes)*
Summary: Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to Execute an Interlocal Agreement
between the City of Auburn and Pierce County Pierce County/White River regarding
funding for the Army Corps of Engineers’ Puyallup/White River Watershed General
Investigation Project.

A.Downtown Development Efforts with Master Developer(30 minutes)
Summary: Review downtown development efforts with the Master Developer,
Spencer Alpert of Alpert International.
B.Site Plan Review Process & Procedures (Tate - 15 minutes)*
Summary: Presentation on issues and options for implementation of a Site Plan
Review process and procedures as part of City’s development review practices.
