THE CITY COUPJCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOVJS : Section 1. Auburn Codified City Ordinance 13.20.480 (last amendment, Auburn City Ordinance :Vo. 3023, November 3, 1975), which reads as follows: "The monthly rates and charges for sewage disposal services shall be as follows: A. Residences. Three dollars and sixty centy per month for each single-family residence within the city limits, and five dollars and forty cents per month for each singly-family residence outside tne city limits. S. Non-single-family Residential. All users other than single- family residential shall pay the following, based on water con- sumption per month: 0- 900 cubic feet .$3.60 min. charge 901 - 9,900 cubic feet .....................$3.50/900 cubic feet 9,901 - 19,$00 cubic feet .....................$3.25/9a0 cubic feet 19,801 - 29,700 cubic feet .....................$3.00/900 cubic feet 29,701 - 50,000 cubic feet .....................$2.75/900 cubic feet 50,001 - 500,000 cubic feet .....................$2.50/900 cubic feet 500,001 cubic feet anu over ......................$2.25/900 cubic feet Users outside the city limits shall pay a fifty percent surcharge. C. P+letro Sewer Charges. In addition to the foregoing charges specified in this section, the following rates shall be charged: 1. Three dollars and fifty-five cents per month payable to the Municipality of Metropolitan Seattle for each single-family dwelling unit. 2. A minimum charge of three dollars and fifty-five cents per month payable to the Municipality of Metropolitan Seattle for the first nine hundred cubic feet of water, and for each additional nine hundred cubic feet or portion of each additional nine hundred cubic feet of water used by apart- ments, multiple-dwelling units of every type and number, business, commercial, industrial and all other users. 3. Users outside the corporate city limits shall pay a fifty- percent surcharge of the rates set forth in paragraphs 1 and 2 above." is hereby amended to read as follows: Ordinance iJo. 3156 Page One 2-14-77 2-17-77 "Monthly rates. The monthly rates and charges for sewage disposal services shall be as follows: (A) Residenees: Seven dollars and ten cents per month, for each single family residence within the corporate city limits and eight dollars and eighty-eight cents per month for each single family residence outside the corporate city limits. (B) Non-single Family Residential: All users other than single family residential shall pay seven dollars and ten cents per month for the first 900 c.f. and 79 cents per every 100 c.f. thereafter. Non-single family residential users outside the corporate city limits shall pay eight dollars and eighty-eight cents per month for the first 900 c.f. and 99 cents per every 100 c.f. there- after. (C) Municipality of Metro Sewer Charges: These charges are in- cluded in the monthly rates stated above for residential and non-single family residential rates. Any Metro cost in- creases charged to the City of Auburn will be passed along to Auburn customers." Section 2. Auburn Codified City Ordinance 13.20.520 (last amendment Auburn City Ordinance No. 2827, September 16, 1974), which reads as follows: "A. In the event that water obtained from other sources than purchased from the city is either discharged or drained into the sewer system, single-family dwellings and multiple dwelling units shall be charged by one of two following methods: 1. Three dollars and sixty cents per dwelling unit or dwelling space occupied or unoccupies; 2. The property owner of such private water system, upon request to director of public works, may request a water meter to be installed into such private water system at no cost to the property owner. The method of billing shall be in compliance with subsection B of Section 13.20.480. B. Other than single-family and miltiple dwellings, the director of public works shall install a water meter into such private water system at no cost to property owners and the method of billing shall be in compliance with Section 13.20.480 (B); or where special conditions exist in which said alternates are considered not practical, the director of public works shall impose a fixed rate of charge to each customer subject to the approval of the city council." is hereby amended to read as follows: , "A. The property owner of such private water system, upon request to Director of Public Works, may request a water meter to be installed into such private water system at no cost to the property owner. The method of billing shall be in compliance with subsection B of Section 13.20.480. ' B. Other than single-family and multiple dwellings, the Director of Public Works shall install a water meter into such private water system at no cost to property owners and the method of billing shall be in compliance with Section 13.20.480 (B); or where special conditions exist in which said alternates are considered not practical, the Director of Public Works shall impose a fixed rate of charge to such customer subject to the approval of the City Council." Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
