AN ORDIiVANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE FIRST PARAGRAPH
OF AUBURN CODIFIED CITY ORDINAiVCE 13.24.010 EXTENDING IAATER
AND SEWER RATE EXEMPTIONS TO QUALIFIED SENIOR CITIZENS OR
PERMANEUTLY AND TOTALLY DISABLED CITIZENS WHO ARE CONNECTED
TO THE WATER OR SEWER SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF AUBURPd, WHETHER
T4EY LIVE 'rJITHIiV OR WITHOUT THE AUBURN CITY LIMITS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The first paragraph of Auburn Codified City Ordinance
13.24.010 which reads as follows:
"From and after the effective date of the ordinance codified
in this chapter and after an eligible head of a household has
applied for and received an exemption for sewer and water rates
as provided in this chapter, a bona fide resident of the city
may apply for and secure a senior citizen's or disabled citizen's
water and sewer rate exemption subject to the following terms and
conditions :
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"From and after the effective date of the ordinance codified in
this chapter and after an eligible head of a household has applied for
and received an exemption for sewer and water rates as provided in this
chapter, such an eligible head of a household, whether that individual
lives within or without the Auburn City Limits, may apply for and secure
a senior citizen's or disabled citizen's water and sewer rate exemption
subject to the following terms and conditions :
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as
provided by law.
