AN ORDINAfVCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING AUBURN CODIFIED CITY
ORDINANCE 6.04.060 (DOG LICENSES - FEES) TO PROVIDE FOR A SPECIAL
PERMANENT DOG CICENSE FOR THE LIFETIME OF DOGS OWNED BY AUBURN CITY
RESIDENTS 65 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Auburn Codified City Ordinance 6.04.060, which reads as
follows: "Dog license - Fees.
The annual license fee for spayed female dogs shall be
three dollars and the annual license fee for unspayed fe-
male dogs shall be six dollars.
The annual license fee for neutered male dogs shall be
three dollars and the annual license fee for unneutered
male dogs shall be six dollars."
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Dog license - Fees.
The annual license fee for spayed female dogs shall be three dollars
and the annual license fee for unspayed female dogs shall be six dollars.
The annual license fee for neutered male dogs shall be three dollars and
the annual license fee for unneutered male dogs shall be six dollars, provided
however, Auburn City residents sixty-five (65) years of age or older shall be
entitled to purchase a special permanent license for the lifetime of dogs for
which they are the registered owners, when said dogs are maintained at said
owners registered address within the Auburn City Limits. Eligible residents
may purchase the special permanent dog licenses at a cost of $ 6.00
per licensed dog and they shall not be required to annually purchase a new
license for the lifetime of such licensed dog, provided that, no person shall
be granted more than three (3) permanent dog licenses for such dogs for which
they are the registered owners."

Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty
(30) days after the license tags are available at the city hall, and after
its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
