Home My WebLink About3188 ~ • ' . . r ORDINANCE N0. 3 1 8 8 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF A PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED AT 535"M" Street N.E., SITUATE WITHIN THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZOiVING CLASSIFICATION THEREOF FROM R-2 TO A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT. ~ - ~ ~ WHEREAS, a petition dated May 13, 1977, together with plot plans and exterior elevations therefor, has been submitted to the Council of the City of c~0 ~ Auburn, by MELVIN MILLS, requesting a Conditional Use Permit, which would allow ~ the construction of an insurance office located on a parcel of land at-.535 "M" Street N.E., within the City of Auburn, Wasfiington, which property hereinafter described in Section 1 of this Ordinance and which property presently carries an R-2 (Single Family) classification; and WHEREAS, said request above referred to was referred by the City Council to the City Planning Commission for study and public hearing thereon; and WHEREAS, the Planning Corrmission held a public hearing to consider the request at the Les Gove Park Building in the City of Auburn, at 7:30 P.M. on June 7, 1977, and subsequent thereto the City Planning Commission approved the issuance of the rezoning of R-2 (Single Family) to a Conditional Use Permit, find that the proposed use illustrated by the site development plans of the petitioner would not be unduly detrimental to the adjacent and surrounding properties and the enjoyme.nt thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn held a public hearing to consider said petition in the temporary Council Chambers at the Auburn School District Administration Building at 8:00 P.M. on July 5, 1977, at the conclusion of which the City Council concurred with the recommendations of the Planning Commission as hereinabove stated; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. -That a Conditional Use Permit be granted for the purpose of .constructing an insurance office on a parcel of land located at 535 "M" Street Ordinance No. 3188 - 7-7-77 ~ Page One s~ . ~ . • N.E. and legally described as follows: ~ The North 97.5 ft of Lot 1, Block A, Frenches lst Addition to Slaughter, recorded in Vol 5, pg 53 of Plats, King Co., Wash., and situated in Section 18, Twp 21 N, Range 5, EWM, City of Auburn, County of King, State of Washington. U-) in accordance with the plot plans and exterior elevations: for said development t~-' submitted with the request for Conditional Use Permit, a copy of which is attached ~ hereto, designated.Exhibit "A" and by this reference made a part hereof as though ~ . set forth in full:herein. ' Section 2. That one sign may be permitted not exceeding 50 square feet or 10% of the area of the face of the building, whichever is less, to identify the use. Said sign shall be placed flat against the face of the building or shall be a low profile ground sign not exceeding 42 inches in height. Any lighting shall be indirect. ~ Section 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Auburn is hereby authorized and directed to file.a certified copy of this Ordinance with the King County Auditor's Office. Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
