HomeMy WebLinkAbout3189 ~ ' , • . . . . . . , , • .:1 . - . ~ ORDINANCE N0. 3 1 8 9 ~j d AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, RELATING TO AND PROVIDING FOR THE VACATION OF STREET AND ALLEY RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED ON "B" STREET SOUTHEAST, BETWEEN MAIN STREET AND SECOND STREET SOUTHEAST, WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF'THE CITY OF AUBURN. - -a WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, have passed and adopted ^ Resolution No. 782, resolving that a public hearing shall be had for the purpose of determining whether ar not the hereinafter described street and alley right- of-way located on "6" Street Southeast, between Main Street and Secont Street Southeast, within the corporate limits of the City of Auburn, shall be vacated, said portion to be vacated being hereinafter legally described in Section 1 of ~ this Ordinance; and WHEREAS, notice of public hearing to vacate the portion of a certain street and alley right-of-way located on "B" Street Southeast, between Main Street and Second Street Southeast, within the corporate limits of the City of Auburn, in the time and manner provided by law, giving notice that the hearing on said Resolution No. 750 was to be held on the 18th day of April, 1977, at 8:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City of Auburn, Washington; an additional hearing was held July 5, 1977, and no objections thereto were filed with the City Clerk or presented to the City Council at said hearing; and WHEREAS, the City Council having deemed that the petition for vacation was proper and that no vested rights would be affected by the same; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section l. That the following described portion of a certain street and alley right-of-way located on "B" Street Southeast, between Main and Second Street Southeast, within the corporate limits of the City of Auburn, Washington, and more particularly described as follows: (3cT 18 C z~ P-4 `Ordinance No. 3189 RECORDED KC REC(»U5 Page One 7-13-77 . • ` _ . . ~ • - . That portion of "8" Street S.E. described as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 3, Block 1, Abraham's Park Addition as recorded in Volume 27 of Plats, page 26, records of King Co. Washington;.thence north along the west line af "B" St. S.E. 240.0 feet to a point on the north 1ine of Lot 11, Riverview Addition as recorded in Volume 9 of Plats, page 90, records of King County, Washington; thence east along *-0 the extended north line of said Lot 11, 50.0 feet to p1- the east line of "B" Street S.E.; thence south along ~ the east line of "B" Street S.E. 240.0 feet to the ~ northwest corner of Lot 3; Block 4, said Abraham's Park Addition; thence west 50.0 feet to the True Point C~ of Beginning; situate in the City of Auburn, County of King, State of Washington. Together with That portion of the alley described as follows: Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 4, Abraham's Park Addition (Vol. 27, pg 26); thence north to the northeast corner.of Lot 3; thence east to the northwest corner of Lot 4; thence south to the southwest corner of Lot 4; thence west to the point of beginning, all in Block 4, Abraham's Park Addition, Together with That portion of alley described as follows: Beginnnig at the southeast corner of Lot 5, Block 4, Abraham's Park Addition (Vol. 27, pg 26); thence north to the northeast corner of said Lot 5; thence east 10 feet; thence north 60 feet; thence east 10 feet; thence south 60 feet to. the northwest corner of Lot 8, Block 4 said Abraham's Park Addition; thence south to the southwest corner of Lot 6, said Abraham's Park Addition; thence west to the point of beginning, situated in the City of Auburn, County of King, State of Washington. be and the same is hereby vacated, and the property lying in said portion of a certain street and alley right-of-way described hereinabove, shall be returned and belong to the abutting property owners, of said portion of a certain street and alley right-of-way located on "B" Street Southeast, between Main and Second Street Southeast, lying within the corporate limits of the City of Auburn. Section 2. Upon the passage, approval and publication of this Ordinance, the City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this Ordinance to be recorded in the office of the King County Auditor. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
