AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
A PARCEL OF LAND 10,400 SQUARE FEET IN SIZE LOCATED IN THE 900
BLOCK ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF 10TH STREET N.E., WITHIN THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION THEREOF
FROM R-2 WITH A SPECIAL PROPERTY USE PERMIT TO R-4.
WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Council of the City of
Auburn, Washington, by JAMES W. COX and CHARLES K. CONNER, requesting the

rezoning of the real property hereinafter described in Section 1 of this
Ordinance, which petition was dated April 22, 1977; and
WHEREAS, said request above referred to, was referred to the Planning
Commission by the Auburn City Council for study and public hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider said
petition in the Les Gove Park Community Center Building, in the City.of. Auburn,
Washington, on July 6, 1977, at 7:30 P.M., at the conclusion of which the
Commission recommended the approval of the rezoning of the said property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, held a public hearing
in the temporary Council Chambers at the Auburn School District Administration
Building, at 8:00 P.M. on August 1, 1977, at which time the City Council concurred
with the recommendations of the Planning Commission as hereinabove stated;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following described property located on a parcel of
land 10,400 square feet in size located in the 900 block on the south side of
10th Street N.E., situate in the City of Auburn, County of King, State of
Washington, be and the same is hereby rezoned from R-2 with a Special Property
Use Permit to R-4 (Multi -Family), to -wit:
Lots 20 and 21, Block 13, C.D. Hillman's Auburndale
Division No. 2 EXCEPT the north 5 feet and south 160
feet, Section 7, Twp 21 N, Range 5 EWM as recorded in
plats Vol. 13, page 92, situated in the City of Auburn,
County of King, State of Wash.

Section 2. That construction -on the property described in Section 1
of this Ordinance, shall restrict the building to single story to conform to
the existing single and multi -family units in the area.
Section 3. That the amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map of the
City of Auburn, encompassing this zoning use classification change, which
Cv amendment is designated as Exhibit "A" hereof, be and the same is hereby
approved.
Section 4. That the City Clerk of the City of Auburn, is hereby
r authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the
King County Auditor's Office.
Section 5. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five
(5) days from.and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided
by law.
