HomeMy WebLinkAbout3197 ORDINANCE N0. 3 1 9 7 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, ANIENDING SECTION 2 OF AUBURN CITY ORDINANCE N0. 3032 (PASSED NOVEMBER 17, 1975) RELATING TO THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section l. Section 2 of Auburn City Ordinance No. 3032 (passed November 17, 1975) which reads as follows: . "Pursuant to the provisions of R.C.W. 35.13.180 of the laws of the State of Washington, the following real property commonly known as the Auburn Municipal Golf Course and Issac Evans Park, said real property being utilized for municipal purposes, shall be annexed to and become part of the City of Auburn, Washington, and legally described as follows: Beginning at a point on the City of Auburn limits as established. _ by City Ordinance No. 1758, said point being the intersection of the east line of the northeast quarter of Section 7, Township 21 North, Range 5, East, W.M., and the southerly bank of the Green River; thence north along the east line of aforesaid northeast quarter of Section 7 to the southerly marginal line of the Green River Road (AKA S.E. 307th P1. & Valentine Ave.); thence north- westerly along the southerly marginal line of the Green River Road to its intersection with the south line of the southeast quarter (Gov. Lot 6) of the northwest quarter of said Section 5; thence north along the east line of the southwest quarter (Gov. Lot 6) to the northeast corner thereof; thence west along the north line of the southwest quarter (Gov. Lot 6) of the northwest quarter of said Section 5 to its intersection with the thread of the Green Ordinance No. 3197 Page One 8-10-77 River, said point being the existing City of Auburn limits as es- tablished by City Ordinance No. 2511; thence southerly along the existing City of Auburn limits as established by Auburn City Ordinance Numbers 2511, 2382 and 1758, to the point of beginning, situate in the County of King, State of Washington." is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2. Lot 6) of the northwest quarter of said Section 5, 417.40 feet; thence west parallel to the south line of the southeast quarter of the northwest quarter of said Section 5, 208:70 feet to the east.line of the southwest quarter (Gov. Lot 6) of the northwest quarter of said Section 5; thence north along the east line of the southwest quarter (Gov. Lot 6) to the northeast corner thereof; thence west along the north line of the southwest quarter (Gov: Lot 6) of the northwest quarter of said Section 5 to its intersection with the thread of the Green River, said point being the existing City of Auburn limits as es- tablished by City Ordinance No. 2511; thence southerly along the existing City of Auburn limits as established by Auburn City Ordinance Numbers 2511, 2382 and 1758, to the point of beginning, situate in the County of King, State of Washington." That upon the passage, approval and publication in due and regular form of this Ordinance, the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a true and certified copy of this Ordinance to be recorded in the Office of the County Auditor of King County, and pay the recording fee therefor. Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
