City Council award Contract 10-23, Project Number CP0909, Lakeland Hilis Booster Pump Station
Improvements Project, to Buno Construction LLC on their low bid of $1,811,472.50 plus WA state sales
tax of_$172,089.89_for a total contract rice of $1,983,562.39.
Background Summary:
The purpose of the Lakeland Hills Booster Pump Station Improvements project is to replace the existing
water booster pump station in the Lakeland Hills water serVice area in ofder to meeffire flow demands
and fo provide adeguate domestic water service, as identified in the 2001 Comprehensive Water Plan
and the 2009 Comprehensive Water Plan: The existing Lakeland Hills Booster Pump Station Facility will
be replaced with a new.facility that will provide approximately 500 gpm domestic supply, 3,125 gpm fire
flow supply, and will include emergency power. Worlc will also indude the upsizing of water mains along
57'" Dr SE and Nathan Ave SE to facilitate the fire flow needs in the Lakeland Hilts service area and the
installation of a side sewer connection off 57~' PI SE.
Project construction is anticipated to begin in December 2010 and be completed by November 2011.
A project budget contingency of $306,547 remains in the Water 430 fund.
