Recreation Resolution No. 4668
Administrative Recommendation:
City Council adopt Resolucion No. 4668.
Background Summary:
Resolution No. 4668 authorizes City Council to accept a $130,000 grant from King County Conservation
Futures.
In 2008 the Smith Property was purchased by the City of Auburn for $260,000 to enable the
Fenster/Pautsky Levy Setback and Salmon Habitat Restoration project to occur. In 2008 a WRIA 9
Salmon Restoration grant for $130,000 funded 50% of the purchase price. This resolution approves the
award of $130,000 from King County Conservation Futures, reimbursing the City of Auburn for it's
contribution towards the acquisition. The $260,000 purchase price has now been funded entirely by grant
funds.
